Iran war continues to paralyse air travel across Middle East

The disruption of air traffic across the Middle East continues to disrupt flights due to the ongoing conflict in Iran. Qatar Airways and other Middle Eastern carriers suspended flights on Saturday due to a missile attack on Qatar. The Qatari Ministry of Defence reported that a missile was intercepted and the airspace over Bahrain is also closed. Iraq's civil aviation authority announced that it will extend the closure of its airspace until mid-Tuesday due to security concerns. The disruption has left tens of thousands of people stranded on holiday or seeking to use one of the airports as a hub.
