Despite the band's commercial success, the performance was a remarkable night at NRG Stadium, with rumors of a heavy regimen of pyrotechnics in attendance. Frontman Scott Stapp wore a simple black T-shirt and black jeans, while bandmates Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall, and Scott Phillips all wore minimal black outfits. The performance was followed by the release of "Bullets" from "Weathered," a hit from their 2001 record.
