Creed performed at the RodeoHouston concert, performing their only Billboard Hot 100 chart topper to date, "With Arms Wide Open" from their sophomore album, Human Clay (1999), which was their highest-ever chart to date. The band played classic 1990s post-grunge hits like "Torn" and "What If?" from their Diamond-certified record Human Clay, while "Higher" from the same album was performed. Despite the band's commercial success, the performance was a remarkable night at NRG Stadium, with rumors of a heavy regimen of pyrotechnics in attendance. Frontman Scott Stapp wore a simple black T-shirt and black jeans, while bandmates Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall, and Scott Phillips all wore minimal black outfits. The performance was followed by the release of "Bullets" from "Weathered," a hit from their 2001 record.
