Oregon State defense identity still forming this spring

The identity of the 2026 Oregon State football team is yet to be determined. The Beavers have lost three of their top four and six top nine tacklers from last season, with returning player Aiden Sullivan being out due to injury. Defensive coordinator Mike MacIntyre is still assessing the strength of the Beavers' defense and plans to make some changes to keep the best players on the field with backups. MacIntry wants to see tackling in space, block destruction and execution of the defense, which is mostly installed but still has some situational areas to improve.
