Steve Carell is starring in a new series ‘Rooster’ on HBO, playing a dad who moves to the same town as his daughter’s college. The series is directed by Isaac Briones and is based on a musical about Bobby Darin. The author recalls Connie Francis who was once arrested in Atlanta for refusing to put out her cigarette in the airplane and was involuntarily committed. She also had a breakup fight costing her $200,000 and a TV impersonation of LeAnn Rimes. Despite her struggles, Carell acknowledges that his character has some rough edges but is confident in his portrayal.
