‘The place I wanted to be:’ Syracuse transfer Tyler Betsey opens up about why he chose BYU

Syracuse power forward Tyler Betsey has announced his transfer to BYU, where he will join from the ranks of 6-foot-8 and 4th-place players in the ACC. Betsey, who scored 44% of his triples in ACC play, will arrive on campus in early June. His decision to join BYU was made after his Syracuse coach was fired and left Betsey with the option to return to Syracuse. He credits BYU's NBA pedigree for securing his transfer, including AJ Dybantsa and Egor Dëmin. He also credits his new relationships with BYU's coaching staff for helping him improve.
