18-year-old faces charges in carjacking of court clerk and in prior shooting case

An 18-year-old man is facing multiple charges in connection with an armed carjacking and a separate shooting. The victim of the carjacker is the elected clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County. Kairee Hicks was arrested following the incident on April 16 and later located her stolen vehicle in the Lanham area. During his arrest, police recovered a loaded handgun with an obliterated serial number and additional evidence tying him to the carjackings. Additionally, detectives have obtained a warrant charging Hicks in relation to a separate incident where he allegedly shot and wounded a man during a dispute.
