SF Giants' Tyler Tidwell recorded his first career save in a rare three-inning game, securing the Giants' 7-2 victory over the New York Mets. The only other notable save was from Ryan Walker, who recorded two outs in the sixth inning. Following the game, Tidwell and catcher Daniel Susac celebrated their milestones in the Giants’ clubhouse. Tidwell allowed no runs over three innings with two strikeouts. This was Tidwell's first save since his days at Loretto High School in Tennessee. His last known save was as a high school junior.
