Kingpin actor Vincent D'Onofrio has stated that Daredevil was at the "top of its game" when it was canceled by Netflix. He believes the show was due to Marvel's Disney Plus expansion and that the cancellation was not a surprise. Daredevil: Born Again debuted in 2025, with the majority of the cast returning as part of MCU canon. A third season is currently filming and a Punisher special is planned for May.
