Mitch Albom: Pistons' others show they belong, and so does Detroit

Daniss Jenkins, a 24-year-old Detroit Pistons player, played 29 minutes in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, more than any other reserve. His performance helped the Pistons secure a 111-101 victory over Cleveland. Jenkins, who had previously played college ball in four different programs, was instrumental in the victory, scoring 12 points, seven rebounds, and three assists off the bench. Despite starting out on a two-way contract with Detroit, Jenkins has since become a significant player. Coach J.B. Bickerstaff praised Jenkins' growth and improvement.
