Allstate has been ordered to face a privacy lawsuit alleging that the company illegally tracked drivers through their cellphones without their consent and used their data to raise premiums or deny coverage. The lawsuit also alleges that Allstate's data analytics unit, Arity, violated the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act by inaccurately reporting their driving behavior. The judge dismissed three of the 38 claims.
