One killed after plane headed to Truckee Tahoe Airport crashes near Olympic Valley

Aircraft traveling to Truckee Tahoe Airport, North Lake Tahoe, went down near the Olympic Valley area around 5:30 p.m. on March 22. The aircraft disappeared from radar at the same time and an Apple crash alert was received. An aerial search was initiated and personnel were dispatched to the crash site. The pilot is believed to have been the sole occupant of the plane. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the crash.
