‘American Idol’ Live Social Voting Delays Eliminations

American Idol's live social voting has resulted in a delay in the results of last night's live vote, as the last twelve singers waited to see if they would make it through the Songs of Faith episode. Host Ryan Seacrest described the move as "truly unprecedented" and said the show will continue to collect every vote counted and verify the votes. The series, which is produced by Fremantle in association with Sony Pictures Television’s 19 Entertainment, has five voting methods including online and text, and now Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. The results will be revealed live on the top of next week's show.
