The start of the third period of the Las Vegas Golden Knights game against the Calgary Flames was delayed due to an ice issue that caused a 25-minute delay. The issue was resolved after a zamboni caused a hole in the ice, dragging across the visitor’s side of the ice and creating a frozen-encased divot. The arena's ice crew worked on the issue for 25 minutes before bringing out fire extinguishers to smooth the edges. Both teams remained in their locker rooms until the end of the second intermission. The game ended much later than normal, with both teams scoring goals.
