Two people have died after rattlesnake bites in Southern California, with a 46-year-old woman and a teen girl being bitten in different locations. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is urging people to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings. The state's information officer, Cort Klopping, advised people to keep their distance from snakes and not approach them. He also advised against attempting to handle dead snakes as their venom can still be active.
