Netflix lands exclusive Mexican streaming deal for the Gold Cup tournament, Nations League Finals
Published on April 17, 2026.
Netflix has secured a four-year rights deal for the Gold Cup tournament, Nations League Finals, and the Concacacaf Cup, two of the Western Hemisphere's marquee men's soccer tournaments. Starting next year, Netflix will be the exclusive home in Mexico for these competitions, with no simulcast on free TV in Mexico by traditional broadcasters. The Gold Cup involves 16 national teams and Mexico won its 10th Gold Cup title in 2025. The Nations League is a secondary competition that doubles as a Gold Cup qualifier and culminates in a championship. The deal puts Netflix in direct competition with traditional Mexican broadcasters and puts it behind a Netflix subscription paywall.
