A clicking Francisco Alvarez could be difference-maker for Mets lineup

The New York Mets' bottom three of their lineup was a significant issue last year, with a lacklustlustre performance from 23-year-old Francisco Alvarez. Alvarez, who returned from a season-ending injury, has been a standout performer this spring, batting.381 with a 1.107 OPS, one home run, and four RBI. Manager Carlos Mendoza believes that Alvarez's ability to maintain his rhythm at the plate could help the team turn around the lower third of the lineup. Despite losing Pete Alonso and Brandon Nimmo, this new lineup could be a significant boost for the team.
