Las Vegas is expected to be "wildly above normal" in the temperature department this week due to a heat dome over the Southwest. Starting today, St. Patrick's Day, the city could reach 90 degrees as the daytime high for the first time this year. The National Weather Service predicts that there is a 10 percent chance of 100 degrees on Thursday, a 50 percent chance on Friday, and a 40 percent chance Saturday. Southern Nevada will be affected by an extreme heat warning from 11 a.m. Wednesday to 8 p.m., according to Ashley Nickerson of the National Weather Services. The hottest temperature ever recorded in March in Las Vegas is 93 in 2022.
