England opened their title defence with a 33-12 victory over Ireland in front of a record 77,120 at Allianz Stadium. This was the Red Roses' first match since they became world champions in September. The victory was largely attributed to hooker Amy Cokayne, prop Sarah Bern, and Jess Breach, who secured a crucial bonus point try in the second half. England will now face Scotland and Italy in the next round.
