Daniel Hornickel, the manager of Medford Township, New Jersey's neighbor to Medford, has been fired by the township council after he was suspended for poor job performance. The decision sparked intense debate among residents and council members. Hornicke was previously the manager at Pemberton Township, another township in Burlington County, was previously suspended in March. He argued that the township has been financially better positioned financially since he took over the position in 2024. Southampton Township Administrator Brandon Umba will perform some of Hornickell's duties through a shared-services agreement.
