Trump says Israeli and Lebanese leaders will speak on Thursday: ‘Trying to get a little breathing room’

President Trump announced that the leaders of Israel and Lebanon will speak for the first time in decades. The announcement comes as Israel continues to target Iranian-backed Hezbollah with strikes in southern Lebanon. Despite discussions between Israeli and Lebanese negotiators, no ceasefire has been reached yet. Hezbollah has rejected any agreements stemming from the talks, stating it is not interested in them.
