Kindergartners pick their own silly names in viral experiment after teacher allows a moniker change: ‘They’re only young once’

Kinderinderinder teacher Jordan Lake, a fifth-year student, has created a viral experiment where his class temporarily changed their names in an effort to become more imaginative. The experiment, titled "The Reel," involves students choosing their own silly names for the day. The results were viewed on Instagram with over 7.5 million views. The students chose names ranging from silly to sugary sweet to totally made-up, with requests for Kipper and Morty, Shady, Foggy, Hello, Wiggly, and Bhum Bhum Kachoom. However, viewers also noted that the experiment was a playful lesson in autonomy, imagination, and basic respect.
