Powell plans to stay

The Federal Reserve Board Chairman, Richard Powell, plans to stay on until the Department of Justice's criminal investigation into his handling of Fed renovations is resolved. The board includes seven members, three of whom are appointed by the president and confirmed by the Senate, and two of whom will remain with the Fed until the end of the day. The announcement comes after the Fed decided to hold interest rates steady.
