Live Nation deal not good enough, Illinois AG says

The U.S. Department of Justice and several other states have criticised Live Nation's tentative agreement with the federal government for not doing enough to protect concertgoers. The agreement allows Live Nation to retain control over ticket prices for concerts and events, with other promoters potentially booking events at Live Nation-owned venues. It also allows Ticketmaster to cap service fees at 15% at amphitheaters it owns and operates. However, it also extends a 2010 agreement that Live Nation violated that the company cannot retaliate against venues that don't use Ticketmaster. The National Independent Venue Association has criticised the deal, stating it does not include explicit protections for fans, artists, or independent venues and festivals.
