Volunteers help Hillsdale residents recover more than a week after tornado

Volunteers are helping to clean up Hillsdale, Kansas, more than a week after a tornado hit. The tornado, which hit the small town of Hillsdale with winds of over 115 miles per hour, ripped through the property. Volunteers were initially dispatched to remove trees from the property, which is nine acres wide. Despite the extensive damage, there were no immediate reports of injuries in Hillsdale. The Miami County Sheriff's Office coordinated the volunteer assistance. The community has been overwhelmed with the support of volunteers, with many of whom have bundled deBRIS. The city is extending its debris site until the end of the week.
