The Central Florida Zoo has reported that a sloth named Habanero, one of the most vulnerable sloths donated from Sloth World, has passed away after his condition worsened rapidly. This follows the death of another sloth, Bandit, who was euthanized after being diagnosed with several health issues. Two other animals are currently in guarded condition. The zoo anticipates a long battle for the vulnerable sloth and is asking for public donations to support ongoing care efforts.
