The move comes amid speculation that Hiningers may be eyeing Republican Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn's seat if she wins the gubernatorial primary. The launch comes after President Donald Trump fired Attorney General Pam Bondi, who will now be transitioning to a new private sector job. Bondi's deputy, Todd Blanche, will take over as acting attorney general while the president searches for a replacement. Meanwhile, ActBlue, the Democratic fundraising platform, is under fire for potentially concealing foreign donations from Congress.
