A new trail around Dalton's Haig Mill Lake Park is set to be completed, with the first section set to open by mid-May. The project aims to improve access and save money by keeping the work in-house. So far, crews have graded about 4,000 feet of trail. The second phase will focus on paving an access road on the east side. The full project is expected to wrap up this fall.
