Two men have been arrested in California for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of fuel from two Coachella Valley businesses. The arrests were made following a years-long investigation into a large-scale organized diesel fuel theft operation. The suspects allegedly manipulated a diesel fuel pump and used modified vehicles to conceal and transport the fuel. The stolen approximately 463 gallons of fuel were valued at about $2,100. The method used in the Coachellia theft was similar to that used in a separate incident in March. The men were arrested on suspicion of grand theft, theft of fuel, conspiracy and organized retail theft.
