U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville, a member of the Armed Services Committee, supports President Donald Trump's decision to escalate bombings in Iran, stating that further action against Iran does not need to come before Congress due to provisions of the War Powers Resolution and Congress's power of the purse. Tuberviv, who voted down a measure to restrict Trump from further military actions in Iran in the past, said he is "100% behind President Trump" and "America first" is about using "a big stick" to punish "deranged terrorists" who hold nuclear weapons. He also praised the success of Operation Epic Fury and praised the relocation of U.S.-based Space Command and FBI relocations to Redstone Arsenal, noting the increasing importance of the command in Iran.
