A Flock of Seagulls Fly to BMG

A Flock of Seagulls has been signed by BMG, the music company that will acquire the '80s British band's publishing catalog and sound recordings. The deal was announced on March 12 and sees BMG control the band's rights in the US and participate in publishing income globally. Additionally, BMG acquires worldwide ownership of the sound recordings for A Flock Of Seagolls' classic studio albums. The band, formed in Liverpool in 1979, made a notable impact across the Atlantic with their hits including "I Ran (So Far Away" and "Wishing" (If I Had a Photograph of You). The band's look and sound continue to resonate in pop culture.
