Showers and thunderstorms are expected to become more widespread across New Mexico Friday afternoon and continue into Saturday. The increase in moisture is leading to a few isolated showers, but much of the rain is evaporating before it reaches the surface, creating local gusty winds. The Albuquerque Metro will see more rainfallfallfalling, with high temperatures expected to remain warm and high. However, lower-level moisture is expected to move into New Mexico tonight and Friday, leading to more rain. The potential for severe weather is also predicted.
