Wake County Board of Education to host budget input session for parents

The Wake County Board of Education is hosting a budget input session for parents to discuss their thoughts about the district's budget after proposed cuts. The cuts include $5.2 million in funding for transportation and education literacy coaches. The budget is designed to offset increased costs of state-funded employees by matching state-mandated salaries. The second session will be held at 6 p.m.
