A man claiming to be a superhero, Mandelan Masson, was arrested for carrying a sword on the A train in South Richmond Hill, Queens, when police spotted him carrying the weapon wrapped in fabric. After inspecting the long blade, Masson claimed that the sword was a prop and that he also carried a folding knife. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
