Symphony San Jose will celebrate spring with a concert featuring three orchestral works: Dvořák's "Carnival Overture," Mason Bates' "Philharmonia Fantastique," and Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 (Pastorale). The performances will be held at the California Theatre in downtown San Jose. Two students from the San Jose Unified School District earned medals at the 2026 SkillsUSA California State Leadership and Skills Conference. The conference, which included over 120 contests spanning skilled trades, technical fields and leadership development, included 14 teams and individual students from Silicon Valley Career Technical Education.
