The debate over fighter pay has been reignited after the undercard performances at UFC London, where Nathaniel Wood and Mason Jones performed well, with some arguing that athletes on the prelims receive less media attention and pay less than their headlining peers. This comes after boxer Conor Benn secured a reported £11m one-fight deal with Zuffa Boxing, which is owned by UFC president Dana White and has been criticised for not paying similar amounts to his MMA fighters under contract. The UFC gives about 20% of its revenue to fighter pay, compared to approximately 60% for boxers who receive about 60% of their events.
