A list by financial site GoBankingRates has named Somerton, a small city in Yuma County, as the worst place to retire in Arizona. The list, which included data from the U.S. Census American Community Survey, looked at factors such as population size, number of households, household income, Social Security recipients, and cost-of-living factors. Somerton households receiving Social Security income took in about $10,000 less than those in Sun City. Meanwhile, Sun City, the country's first planned retirement community, was named the best place for retirees.
