This comes less than six weeks after Musk merged SpaceX and xAI in a deal valued at $1.25 trillion. The move comes as SpaceX prepares to go public with a potential record-breaking IPO. The Financial Times reports that Musk has ordered a round of job cuts following the rapid success of coding tools from generative AI rivals OpenAI and Anthropic.
