UAE charges 21 people with cybercrimes for filming and sharing missile strike footage

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has charged 21 people, including a 60-year-old British tourist, under cybercrime laws for filming and sharing videos of Iranian missile and drone attacks. The law prohibits publishing or sharing images that might incite panic or spread rumors. The British tourist was arrested in Dubai on Monday under a law that prohibits publishing, sharing images. The penalty for breaching the laws is a minimum of two years in prison and a 200,000 UAE dinar (around $54,000) fine. The charges against the British national are described as vague. An Indian student was also arrested after he filmed a missile attack on Dubai University and remains in custody.
