The 26-year-old man has been arrested in Singapore on charges of illegally accessing a media server without authorization, which carries a maximum prison term of seven years and a potential fine of up to $50,000. This comes just weeks after the leak of the upcoming animated film The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, which was released months before schedule, was revealed to have been caused by the studio's decision to not release the film from theaters. The man was arrested a day after the report of the leak, with various electronic devices seized and the unauthorized copy of the film. The film was initially set for a theatrical release in October 2025, but was later delayed to January 9, 2026 and then to October 9,2026.
