The United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran in 2026, which killed Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in an airstrike on his compound in Tehran. However, there is no evidence that the ship was damaged during Operation Epic Fury against Iran. The U.S. Central Command also denied similar claims by Iran.
