HBO Max and Paramount+ will be merged into one streaming service if Paramount Skydance's acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery is complete. The move aligns with the current 200 million direct to consumer subscribers of both services. However, Paramount CEO David Ellison stated that while HBO will continue to operate with independence, the combined offering will position the company to compete with larger platforms in the industry.
