Ascension Parish Library and the Ascension Parish Government have celebrated the grand opening of the new St. Amant Library and Community Center in St.Amant, Louisiana. The 37,000-square-foot project was a collaboration between the two local libraries and the parish's recreation department. The new library includes a makerspace with a 3D printer, a laser cutter, a CNC mill, woodworking equipment, sewing machines, and a recording studio. The community center replaced the former facility lost in the 2016 flood.
