Seth Green, creator of Star Wars: Detours, a Robot Chicken-style madcap animation series brought to life by Green, has expressed doubt that the unseen series would need to be "upgraded" for streaming. The series was produced but fell by the wayside after Disney's purchase of Lucasfilm, with Kathleen Kennedy, the new Lucasfilm boss, stating that it's important for Star Wars to exist for decades, not just a few projects. Green argued that the light tone of the series would make it difficult for younger generations to read about the characters and give them fresh perspectives. However, with the arrival of Dave Filoni and Lynwen Brennan as Lucasfilm's new head, there remains some hope that Star Wars' untried episodes could be released on Disney Plus.
