GOP senator on Iran school strike: ‘A terrible, terrible mistake’

Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) has called a strike on an all-girls school in Iran that killed around 175 people a mistake, which he believes was intentional. The strikes were reportedly from the U.S. and were blamed on Iran. Kennedy compared the strike to the sort of thing Russia does. The Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Gen. Dan Caine confirmed last week that the U.,S. military fired Tomahawk missiles during the initial barrage of strikes in southern Iran. The strike on the school caused outrage, with Democratic lawmakers calling for independent probes into the attack.
