U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro appears to have withdrawn plans to appeal a ruling in her attempt to criminally investigate Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. Pirro had previously planned to ask a higher court to review recent rulings by Chief Judge James Boasberg of the D.C. regarding her subpoenas to the Fed, arguing that the judge's decision makes it difficult for her to conduct grand jury investigations in general. The appeal would have reinstated Pirro's legal demand that the Fed hand over evidence related to cost overruns in its building renovations. It is unclear if this change of strategy will be pursued.
