J Jamaican dancehall artist Chronic Law has released his first project following his release from ICE custody. The nine-track project, "I.C.E. (Inside, Cold & Empty), traces his faith journey during his detainment. The project was primarily produced by Notnice, who also directed Vybz Kartel & Spice's 2009 crossover hit "Romping Shop". Despite being under state surveillance, Law wrote his entire project over the phone and had to use Notnice's riddims to write his lyrics. The EP includes some of the most consistent and arresting bars yet. Despite being born Ackeme Jermaine Campbell in St. Thomas, Law is considered one of the defining voices of contemporary dancehall. He has collected over 86.1 million official on-demand U.S. streams in 2025 and has already garnered over 25.4 million official streams this year.
