Jacksonville and surrounding areas are under a red flag warning due to extremely high fire danger, with temperatures expected to reach 96 degrees and high winds forecast. The area is also dealing with ongoing drought conditions, labelled as "exceptional" and "extreme" by the Exact Track 4D Drought Monitor. Avoid outdoor burning, including grilling, and properly dispose of cigarette butts. The most intense weather, including heavy rain and lightning, is likely to develop between 12 p.m. and 4 p., before shifting south into the evening. Gusty winds are also expected to gust up to 30s mph throughout the day. Rain chances are expected to increase from 40% to 60% between Saturday and Monday.
