The victim came to police in Nov. 2018 when she was 17 and told police that well-known South OC Fitness Trainer, Ellis, had sexually assaulted her during gym workouts. The assaults occurred during these workouts, with one allegedly occurring while he was making a "chiropractic adjustment." The victim kept quiet about the assaults until September 2018 when her mother visited her in Spain. A month later, she recorded a call with Ellis confronting him about these assaults, which led to an apology and Ellis crying. When Ellis is sentenced in April, attorneys will discuss whether he will have to register as a sex offender.
