Dancer Lisa Kohn became a writer after giving up her career as a dancer to pursue a personal life as a writer. She had previously performed with Ballet West at the University of Utah, New York with Louis Falco, Twyla Tharp, and after the birth of her son, American Ballroom Theater. Kohn chose the suburban life of wife and mother, focusing on a more internal life filled with interesting people and places that inspired her to create a unique story. She became the choreographer of words into sentences, sentences into paragraphs and eventually became a series of mystery books. Her first historical women’’s fiction, published 2023, was published in 2023. She realized that even in her previous mysteries and contemporary contemporary stories, she had been writing about women who have chosen to thrive in their lives.
