Edward Cabrera made his team debut in a 7-2 victory over the Los Angeles Angels. Cabrera pitched six innings of one-hit ball and Ian Happ homered for the third consecutive game for the Cubs. Carson Kelly and Moises Ballesteros also contributed two-run singles for the team. Los Angeles has now lost three consecutive games. Yoan Moncada homered and Nolan Schanuel had two hits, but Colin Rea saved the game with a three-inning save. The win was the first time the Cubs had out-hit the Angels 9-5.
